Martial Arts Master Huang Fei Hong welcomes you to 金水茶坊~
This slightly hidden cafe situated along an alley in The Gold Ecological Park (that also houses The Gold Museum) is as good as the Master’s Kungfu. Let them give ya’ a badass *Flying Kick* with their delicious waffles and wide variety of teas!
Before I begin to introduce the yummy for your tummy, take a look at their cafe interior that acts as an art gallery. Lots of canvas paintings are hung on the walls and you can also find potteries like small vases and tea sets as well.
Most of the paintings are available for sale but you have to make an enquiry with the staff on that if you are interested to bring one of these home.
It was a little chilly when I visited so I ordered a hot cuppa regular coffee to pair with the super amazing 草莓冰淇淋鬆餅 Strawberry Waffle ♥♥♥♥♥.
Spot the 2 fork? Share this with a friend or 2 as the portion is hearty and especially after eating lunch at the nearby 礦工食堂之黃金印象餐廳, one really can’t finish this on your own. I recommend you do the same route as me, going to the Gold Panning activity house, Gold Museum and Benshan Fifth Tunnel after lunch then on the way back check this out for teatime before leaving the Gold Ecological Park.
This scrumptious plate of waffle includes 1 waffle already cut into quarters to form heart shapes topped with a large scoop of strawberry ice cream, juicy strawberry halves, marshmallows, whipped cream and dashes of chocolate sauce.
Got to mention the waffle is made on the spot upon ordering so it does take a few minutes but its very fresh and piping hot. You got to try this when you visit the Gold Ecological Museum, its a not-to-be missed!
草莓冰淇淋鬆餅 Strawberry Waffle cost NT$160 and there was a promotion for regular coffee at a discounted price of NT$50 with every purchase of waffle when I visited. If you have been to Benshan 5th tunnel, keep the ticket stub as you get some perks in the other attractions within the Gold Ecological Museum.
I could use my ticket stub for an additional 10% discount on top of the coffee promo so I got to pay only NT$189 instead of NT$210.
Another reason I love this place is because of the cafe interior being small but cosy. With its small kitchen counter in an open concept, you get to smell the sweet scent of waffle in the air while its cooking. It had seriously made me anticipate highly for its arrival to my table just with a whiff of that awesome fragrant.
The small cafe have a bigger veranda than its interior and relatively can sit a larger group of people. The atmosphere is very relaxing and you can indulge yourself in lush greenery.
I hope to come back soon for another review of their teas… so looking forward! See their MENU

(Walking from 礦工食堂之黃金印象餐廳, you should see a side alley with many cute mining worker pictures on the stone walls before the flight of stairs towards the gold panning hands-on house called 金采廣场. Walk along this alley and you will find the cafe.)
